For the abatement of the pollutants present in the air to be purified, Venturi scrubber exploits the effect of the turbulence created in the fluid in the converging/diverging section of one or more Venturi tubes. In the converging section the decrease in the area of flow forces the gas to increase its speed, consequently the extreme turbulence induced promotes the atomization of the washing liquid that is injected into the scrubber just above the throat. The atomization of the liquid in the micro - droplets increases the probability of contact between the pollutant and the liquid itself.
